What DingPack does

DingPack is an automated packing slip printing service for Shopify merchants. When an order is placed in your Shopify store, DingPack receives the order data via a Shopify webhook, generates a packing slip PDF, and sends it to a printer on your local network via the DingPack desktop agent.

Data we collect

  • Account information: Your email address and hashed password when you sign up.
  • Shopify order data: Order payloads (order number, line items, shipping address, customer email) received via Shopify webhooks. This data is used solely to generate and print packing slips.
  • Store connection: Your Shopify store domain and an OAuth access token to authenticate API requests on your behalf.
  • Usage data: Number of prints per billing cycle for plan enforcement.

How we use your data

  • To generate packing slip PDFs and deliver them to your printer.
  • To display print history in your dashboard.
  • To enforce monthly print limits based on your plan.
  • We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising.

Data retention

Order payloads are retained in our database to support the print history and reprint features. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. When you uninstall DingPack from Shopify, your store data is purged within 48 hours in accordance with Shopify's GDPR requirements.

GDPR — Your rights

If you or your customers are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data we hold. Contact us at the address below. DingPack processes customer data (names, addresses, emails) only as a data processor on your behalf — you remain the data controller for your customers' information.

Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Shopify webhook signatures are verified for every incoming request. API tokens are stored encrypted at rest. We do not log or store full credit card or payment information.

Third parties

  • Shopify: We connect to Shopify's API to receive orders and manage webhook subscriptions.
  • Stripe: Billing and subscription management for paid plans. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment processing.
